Steps

    1. Opening Circle (5 minutes)

      • Gather students in a seated circle.

      • Introduce the activity: "Today we will use music to inspire our imaginations and practice calming our bodies."

    2. Listening and Reflection (5–7 minutes)

      • Play a piece of classical music.

      • Ask students to close their eyes and notice how the music makes them feel.

      • Invite brief sharing: “What did you imagine or feel while listening?”

    3. Creative Drawing (15–20 minutes)

      • Pass out crayons and paper.

      • Play another classical piece and encourage students to draw what they hear, feel, or imagine.

      • Remind them there’s no right or wrong—just their personal experience.

    4. Sharing (5–10 minutes)

      • Invite volunteers to share their drawings and describe what they were thinking or feeling.

      • Celebrate each student’s unique interpretation.

    5. Closure (3–5 minutes)

      • Reflect as a group on how the music helped them calm down, focus, or imagine.

      • Reinforce how listening to music can be a tool for self-control and emotional regulation.
