Description:
In this interactive drama-based lesson, students act out and resolve realistic conflicts to practice problem solving, teamwork, and honoring group agreements.
Materials
Slips of paper or index cards with group agreements written on them
A hat, bowl, or bag to draw cards from
Steps
Introduction (5 minutes)
Review class or group agreements together.
Explain that students will explore how these agreements show up in everyday situations.
Group Formation (2 minutes)
Divide students into small groups of 3–4.
Agreement Selection (3 minutes)
Each group draws one agreement card from the hat or bag.
Skits Creation (10–15 minutes)
Each group creates two brief skits (2–3 minutes each):
a. One showing the agreement being broken.
b. One showing a resolution to the situation.Encourage realistic and relevant scenarios.
Skits & Discussion (15–25 minutes)
Groups take turns presenting. After the first skit, pause and ask the audience:
“Which agreement do you think was broken?”After revealing the answer, the group performs the resolution skit.
Invite the audience to suggest alternative solutions or prevention strategies.
Wrap-Up Reflection (5 minutes)
Reflect as a group:
“What did you learn about solving problems in groups?”
“How can we use this in our daily interactions?”
