Students will explore the connection between mental health and overall well-being through the six dimensions of wellness and set personal goals to support their holistic self-care.

Lesson Structure
CYPHER (10 min)
Ritual: Libation / Acknowledgements / Apologies / Announcements / Affirmations
ICEBREAKER / HOOK: “Self-Care Word Flow” (10 min)
Purpose: Energize the group and surface shared ideas of self-care
Structure: 2 teams alternate listing self-care strategies in 20-second bursts (4 rounds)
Goal: Have fun and affirm everyone’s ideas
PART ONE: “Mental Health Stigmas” (30 min)
Video + Discussion
Introduce connection between wellness and mental health
Discuss:
Why is mental health important to talk about?
How do family/friends influence how we view mental health?
How can wellness support mental health?
Intro to 6 Dimensions of Wellness
Define and discuss each with visuals
Ask: Which are you most/least connected to?
Turn-and-talk or share out
PART TWO: “Wheel of Wellness” (30 min)
Reflection Activity
